The word “yoga” comes from a Sanskrit root “yuj” which means union, or yoke, to join, and direct concentrate one's attention. (Laster J, Raub, J.A. 1997, 2002) Regular practice of yoga promotes strength, endurance, flexibility facilitates characteristics friendliness, compassion, greater self-control, while cultivating sense calmness well-being.
